Interim Finance Automation Specialist

To support the automation resolutions for accounting backlogs, we are looking to hire an Finance Automation Specialist preferably experienced within large, international, and multi-entity environments.

Wat je gaat doen

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and implement automation solutions to eliminate manual accounting and reconciliation tasks
  • Build scalable automation workflows using Python, Power Automate, and RPA tools
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel solutions (Power Query, VBA, Power Pivot) as part of broader automated processes
  • Integrate data across systems using APIs, FTP, and other interfaces to enable seamless data flows
  • Proactively analyze existing processes and independently create automation solutions without detailed guidance
  • Transform and structure large datasets using automated pipelines to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Reduce reconciliation backlogs by combining accounting expertise with smart automation techniques
  • Investigate discrepancies and implement automated controls to prevent recurring issues
  • Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities through standardized and automated processes
  • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to scale automation initiatives across the organization
  • Provide data-driven insights and progress updates to senior stakeholders in a global environment

Wie ben jij

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data/automation-focused roles
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, balance sheet), but not necessarily a career-long traditional accountant
  • Proven experience in automating processes, ideally within finance, operations, or data environments
  • Advanced Excel expertise: Power Query, VBA, complex formulas, and data modeling
  • Solid working knowledge of Python for data processing, scripting, and automation
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate and/or RPA tools to build end-to-end workflows
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts: APIs, FTP, and system connectivity

Wat je krijgt

Hour rate indication for this interim role is €80- € 100 excluding VAT.
